Privacy and personal information

The current site provides information and creates drafts on your device. It does not receive parent group applications, case records or completed worksheets.

Checked 1 October 2026

Forms and drafts

Information entered into the parent request or correction form is used in the page to prepare a draft. It is not sent to a site administrator. The site does not save these form details in browser storage.

If you copy or download a draft, it is held by your device, clipboard or the app you choose. Keep it private. Your browser may retain information according to its own settings.

Your WhatsApp message to Matt

The homepage message box prepares a WhatsApp link to Matt Scott, Stockport Community Connector for the National Deaf Children’s Society, using the number supplied in his leaflet. Typing does not open WhatsApp, send a message or save your draft in the site’s browser storage.

Choosing the WhatsApp button passes your draft text to WhatsApp in the link. WhatsApp’s terms and privacy notice apply. You must choose Send in WhatsApp to send the message. This contact box is not the DeafToo group application form.

Technical information

The site’s own pages do not include advertising, analytics trackers or embedded social media. They do not set their own cookies or use local storage.

The hosting provider may process request and sign in information or use necessary cookies under its own terms. That is separate from information typed into these draft forms.

External websites and contacts

Opening an external link takes you to another organisation’s website. Its privacy notice and terms apply. Telephone, text and email links open your chosen app; the site does not send a message for you.

If you later join a WhatsApp group, other group members can usually see your phone number. Review WhatsApp privacy settings and the group’s rules before joining.

Children’s information

Do not enter full names of children, dates of birth, school details, medical records or private case histories into these forms. The site does not accept document uploads or publish submitted child stories.

Before applications open

The independent administrator and contact route must be confirmed before the group accepts applications. An updated privacy notice will need to explain who receives requests, what is kept, for how long and how an applicant can contact them.

The current draft form does not enrol anyone or approve membership.
